IN THE BEGINNING

this isn't even my final form

My parents claim I was never born, but rather I sprung fully grown from my father’s head like Athena. I got my hands on art supplies as soon as I could hold them upright. I don’t know if the glue absorbed into my skin and gave me superpowers or if it’s that I ate enough sculpting paste but at some point I realized I could make things, and that brought people joy.  So before I knew it I was on a quest to make the world a prettier place, one project at a time.

I started drawing around the same time I started talking and many walls were victims of my crayon art. I voraciously consumed any sci-fi, horror (sorry about those nightmares, Dad!) and fantasy books I could get my hands on and drew inspiration from those.

I moved around a lot in my youth- from MTL, to Ontario, British Columbia and back again so my geekery was my escape. I discovered D&D, White Wolf and other TTRPGs and of course- Videogames.

In 2009 I started a now-defunct YouTube channel and fell in love with content creation. It gave me a voice and place to find people like me, who liked the things I did. Where I was able to build a community. In 2012 I got bit by the cosplay bug and started making costumes, filming tutorials and dressing up like the hero I wanted so desperately to be.

Well, flash forward to today and I'm STILL doing exactly that. I even did it professionally and worked for BioWare as a Community Specialist at their MTL office working on Mass Effect, Dragon Age and Anthem.

NOW

Since leaving BioWare I have put all my social savvy know-how into carving out my own corner of the internet and to create a safe and inclusive space of all the 'weirdos, freaks, and geeks' LGBTQIA2+ of fandom.

I cosplay, I tattoo, but the thing I'm probably most proud of is all of my charity work with St Jude's, Checkpoint.org, The Trevor Project and the Bail Project. That and all the amazing people I've collected and the stories I've heard. The fact that through Twitch I've been able to make people laugh, cry and connect is a privilege and a gift I don't take lightly.

If you've read this far, give yourself a pat on the back and a freekin' medal. Maybe even a slice of pizza. Seriously, I had no idea how long-winded that was gonna get. Thank you for honoring me with your time <3
